Addie Regina "Sissy " Short, 60 years old passed peacefully in her sleep Saturday, December 20, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Sissy was born in Hayti Missouri. September 30, 1965. She worked at Utley Trucking in Steele, MO, as the Safety Director for 21 years. Sissy was a dedicated and loving mother to Dakota. She loved going to Florida to the beach every summer and spending time with family & friends. She absolutely loved children, and they all loved her, she was kindhearted and just a great person. She made many friends through the years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Dobbins, and her brother, Jerry Jordan, both of Hayti, MO. She is survived by her mother- Gladys Dobbins of Hayti, Mo. Daughter - Dakota Short of Steele, Mo. Sister Tonya Romhilt (Jason) of Hayti, Mo. Sister Sharyn Dobbins of Austin, Texas. Brother Paul Jordan (Pam) of Hayti, Mo. Brother Stephen Jordan (Stacey) of Hayti, Mo. Brother Steven Dobbins (Julia) of Benton, Ar. Brother Jeff Dobbins (Fara) of Little Rock, Ar.

Brother David Dobbins (Anita) of Birmingham Al. Honorary Sisters, Jessie Rhodes of Steele, Mo, & Brooke Stropp of Steele, Mo.and many relative's & friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Temple Baptist Church in Caruthersville, MO.
