Obituary

Andrew Page Jr., affectionately known as "Non," was born on August 8, 1955, in Portageville, Missouri, to the late Andrew and Mamie Page. He departed this life leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories throughout the Hayti community.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Nathaniel Young, Freddie Young, Hershel Young, and Larry Page, as well as his beloved sister, Virgie Page.

Andrew was well known for his love of walking. He was a familiar and welcome sight along the streets of Hayti, often recognizing passing cars and exchanging friendly greetings with everyone he met. A true neighborhood fixture and advocate, Andrew built lasting connections simply by being himself—kind, consistent, and full of character.

Music held a special place in his heart, especially his guitar playing. He was full of playful energy and often adopted the role of a pretend police officer, famously singing his own rendition of the Cops theme song: "Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when they put the cuffs on you!"

Andrew had a deep love for his nieces and showed them genuine affection and encouragement. He had an infectious spirit that brought joy to others—whether through his trademark thumbs-up, his booming "What's up, man!" or his enthusiastic "I know that's right!"

Though his earthly walks have come to an end, we take comfort in knowing he is now walking the streets of heaven—this time without ever growing tired. His presence, his smile, and his spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sisters: Alice West of Hayti, Missouri; Flora Young of Washington, D.C.; Carolyn Page and Faye Audrey Page, both of Sikeston, Missouri; and his brothers: Danny Page of Caruthersville, Missouri, and Leroy Page of St. Paul, Minnesota. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family; the entire Hayti community; and the Covington family, who embraced him and cared for him as one of their own.

Andrew also held a special place in his heart for the late Mable Covington Nelson, who ensured he was always cared for with grace and compassion.
