Betty Faye Chastain was born in Hayti, Missouri on October 30, 1954. She passed away on April 26, 2025, at her home in Jackson, Missouri. She was 70 years of age.

She was preceded in death by her parents: George and Ruby (Mitchem) McLeod, 7 brothers, and 6 sisters.

She enjoyed gardening, fishing, going to yard sales, and loving on her dog Duke. She also loved spending time with her husband, kids, grandkids, family and friends.

She leaves the following behind to cherish her memory:

3 Children: Renee (Ben) Halcomb of Jackson, MO.,

Carrie (Tony) Cruz of Elko, NV.

Chistopher (Erica) Chastain of Cape Girardeau, MO.

11 Grandchildren: Austin Bradford, Matthew Bradford, Jayden Curtis,

Brandon Curtis, Collin Chastain, Devin Chastain,

Carter Chastain, Jordan Nelson, Natasha Curtis,

Makaylian Curtis, and Lauren Bradford.

7 Great-Grandchildren: Archie Bradford, Zaden Clark, Oliver Clark,

Cloey Curtis, Skyla Curtis, Sawyer Barr, and

Addie-Grace Waite

5 Siblings: Bethel McLeod Henson, Tammy McLeod, Wilma McLeod Taylor,

Phillip McLeod, and Terry McLeod all of Kentucky.

And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Services were held Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti, MO. with Brother Doug Wahls officiating.
