Betty Lavern Flowers was born on June 20, 1945, in Portageville, Missouri. She passed away on September 5, 2023, at her home in Portageville. She was 78 years of age.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Hazel Mathenia and her husband: Gene Flowers.

Betty was a loving mother, sister, and aunt. She loved bragging on her beloved son Jeff. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Portageville, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was also a part of the Methodist Women's Group, and Bible study groups. She enjoyed reading her bible daily, cross-stitching, crafting, and tending to her yard and flowers. Betty also enjoyed doting on her little puppy dog, Princess Ann.
