Obituary

Bobby Gene Peel was born on November 25, 1961, in Kennett, Missouri, to the late Robert and Pauline Peel. On September 4, 2026, at 1:45 p.m., Bobby peacefully heard his name called and entered eternal rest, surrounded by his loving family.

Bobby was raised in Wardell, Missouri, and attended North Pemiscot High School. Throughout his life, Bobby was a hardworking man who was never afraid to use his hands or learn something new. He worked at a local gas station before moving to Springfield, Missouri, where he was employed by General Electric for several years.

Bobby eventually returned home, where he continued working and serving others by mowing and maintaining yards throughout the community. His love for music also led him to manage a band in Malden, Missouri. More than anything, Bobby loved his family and friends. He was known for enjoying life, having a good time, and bringing energy wherever he went. Whether it was a family reunion, gathering, celebration, or just spending time with the people he loved, Bobby was often the life of the party. His presence, personality, laughter, and love for his family created memories that will continue to be shared for generations.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Pauline Peel; his brothers, Charles Peel, Jerry Peel, and Homer Peel; and his sisters, Joann Williams, Glady Jennings, Henrietta Payne, and Elizabeth Peel.

Bobby leaves to cherish his loving memory his children: Felicia "Peaches" Doss-Curtis (Tryemaine Curtis), Bobbie Jean Olden, Bobby Marshall, Robert Pedro Peel, Tiffanie McKinnie (David McKinnie), Baustin McCauley, Brooklyn McCauley, and Brystol McCauley; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He also leaves to cherish his memory four brothers: Robert Peel (Dana), Jackie Peel, James Peel, and Clifford Peel; four sisters: Paulette Jones, Trinita Williams (Marvin), Bessie (Carl Roland), and Glenda Smith; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives he touched throughout his journey.

Bobby also held a special place in his heart for Johnnie Mae Wheeler, the first love of his life, and Shakeena McCauley, the last love of his life.

Bobby's legacy extends far beyond the years he was given. It lives in his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. It lives in the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, the lives he touched, and the memories that will continue to bring smiles even through the tears.

Though his physical presence will be deeply missed, the love, lessons, strength, and memories Bobby Gene Peel gave his family will remain forever.

This is not goodbye. It is simply, "See you later."
