Obituary

Carole Anne Frame Jones–born March 31, 1945, in Kennett, is the daughter of the late Clark Frame and Madge Turner Frame.  She was preceded in death by her husband–Benny Ray Jones, by two sons–Michael DeWayne Jones and Benjamin Clark Jones, and by her parents.  Carole leaves her son–Brandon Jones and his wife Andrea of Steele, her brother–John Frame, and his wife Anne, of Brentwood, Tennessee, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Mrs. Jones was a retired elementary school teacher–having taught forty years in the same classroom her mother taught in for twenty-eight years. Carole was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Steele and played the piano for Sunday services at the Cooter Methodist Church and Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.  Carole thoroughly enjoyed working in her yard, and everything associated with flowers and gardening.  Carole was an outstanding cook of all meals, all holidays, and all gatherings; especially, renowned for her infamous cheesecake. Carole was a member of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association, a member of the Steele Book Club, and served as President of the Steele Public Library Board.  Invariably, Carole served others and without exception always put the needs of others above her own.  Carole loved God and country and was an extremely patriotic person.  Later in life, Carole became an avid supporter of anything and everything associated with Ole Miss.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jones were held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, April 15, 2024, at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Cecilia Green officiating.  Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, with John W. German Funeral Home in charge of services.  Pallbearers were Rick Crocker, Gaylan McGregor, Therron Nowlin, Andy Pritchard, Barry Ray, and John Spence.
