Darla Turpen was born September 1, 1960, at Cooter, Missouri. She passed away on July 17, 2022, at Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was 61 years, 10 months, and 16 days of age.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Dewayne and Martha Rushing, and one sister: Lavell Rushing Vhonn.

Darla was a loving wife, sister, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved her little dog, Sophie.

She leaves the following behind to cherish her memory:

Husband: Ricky Turpen of Hayti, MO.

3 Sisters: Loretta Calloway and Kandi Rushing both of Pocahontas, Arkansas, and Paula Hudgens of Texas

One Brother: Michael Rushing

And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held July 23, 2022, at 12 Noon at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti, Mo. with Brother Doug Wahls officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti. Pallbearers were family members.
