Dennis Kay Trammell was born in Bakersfield, California on December 16, 1945. He passed away on September 11, 2024, at his residence in Hayti, Missouri. He was 78 years of age.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Ozzy and Mary Trammell, first wife: Mary Trammell, son: Dennis Kay Trammell II, daughter: Monie Trammell, siblings: Randy and George Trammell and Patsey and Francis Trammell.

Dennis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He retired honorably after 20 years of service. He was also a proud member of the Hayti VFW and the American Legion. Dennis enjoyed working. He loved making things with his hands like airplanes and mailboxes. He also loved spending time with his friends and family.

He leaves the following behind to cherish his memory:

Daughter: Patricia (John) Hall of Hayti, MO.

Brother: Marcus Trammell of Houston, TX.

Sister: Linda Trammell of Reno, Nevada

And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti, MO. With Pastor Tommy Drumright officiating. Burial was held in Pemiscot Memorial Gardens in Caruthersville, MO. Pallbearers were John Hall, Chris Murray, Mitchell Grey, Randy Ralston, and Dean Stricklin.
