Doris Jean (Hopgood) Hicks, 84, passed away at her home in Steele, Missouri on Monday, April 7, 2024. She was the daughter of the late John and Vivian (Pounds) Hopgood.

Doris was born and raised in Steele, Missouri. She enjoyed gardening and her flowers, crafting, decorating, shopping, and cooking for others. Her kind heart was so apparent never meeting a stranger and her love for people was always shining. She met the love of her life Jerry Hicks, and they were married on September 11, 1959, in Steele, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2015.
