Obituary

George Edward Eichmann, born on February 19, 1957, in Holyoke, MA, left a legacy of love, joy, and beautiful memories upon passing away on December 4, 2023, in Cape Girardeau, MO.

George was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a cherished grandfather who found immense happiness in the simple pleasures of life. His heart was so full of love, and his soul with joy, spending cherished moments with his wife, Violet, their three daughters, and all their grandchildren.

A man of many talents, George possessed the most beautiful singing voice, a gift that brought comfort and delight to all who had the pleasure of hearing it. He also had a love for fishing, a skill honed over quiet days by the water. After retirement, as a jack of all trades, he continued his passion in building and creating by tinkering on various projects.

George was a fantastic cook, who spent much of his time grilling and trying new recipes.

He was a history enthusiast whose knowledge enriched the lives of those around him.

George was quick-witted and had a great sense of humor. His infectious laughter made him a beloved presence in every room.

He truly was a man who could do anything and fix everything.

George leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He is survived by his loving wife, Violet; his daughters Kimberley Eichmann of Cottage Grove, TN, and Cambria Eichmann of Dexter, MO; his grandchildren: Faalden Cervantes of Paris, TN, Solstice and Killian Cervantes of Murray, KY, Raithan Cervantes of Alma, KY, Danny Mays of Sikeston, MO, Caleb, Jacob, and Kaily Carnell of Dexter, MO, and Blaiklyn Webb and Barrett Willeford of Dexter, MO; his great-grandchildren, Tattuye Cervantes of Murray, KY, and Everest Cervantes of Almo, KY; his sister Melody Bly of Prineville, Oregon; and his brother, Raymond Rousell of Hayti, MO.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Dare, his stepfather, David Dare, and his daughter, Tina Eichmann.

Married to Violet for 48 years, George was the anchor of a family bound together by love and shared laughter. He was so loved and cherished by all who knew him, and the blessing of his love will forever be engraved in our hearts.

As we remember George, let us celebrate the extraordinary life of a man who brought so much love and happiness into the world. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love that he so generously shared with us all.
