Geraldine Matlock, 93, of Cabot, Arkansas, passed away on September 1, 2023 of natural causes. Geraldine was born on May 20, 1930, to William T. and Pearlie Mae Jordan in Kennett, Missouri. On April 3, 1954, Geraldine married Joe Matlock. She spent most of her life taking care of others whether it be her home daycare, cooking food for people, or calling to talk. She was a devoted follower of Christ as was represented by her commitment to several churches within the United Pentecostal Church International organization.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband; Joe, her daughter; Donna Jean, her grandson; Derek McCoy, one brother and several sisters, and her parents.

She is survived by her two children; Glen Matlock (Chip) of Cabot, Arkansas, and Judy McCoy (Billy) of Maury City, Tennessee, three grandchildren; Nathan Matlock, Candi Ussery (Kevin), and Kimberley Sandusky, twelve great-grandchildren, three step-grandsons, her sister Mary Williams and her brother ED Jordan.

Services will be held at John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti, Missouri on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for friends and family. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Richard Lee of Jesus Name Tabernacle of Caruthersville, Missouri officiating. Pallbearers are Danny Short, Dekota McCoy, Landon Sandusky, Blake Sandusky, LeLand Sandusky, and Shane Sandusky.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the United Pentecostal Church International, UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, or Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.
