Ida joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Hayti Heights along with her sisters Dorothy and Johnnie Mae and they were all active and devoted members for many years.
Ida served on the Usher Board up until a couple of years ago when she had to step back to due health issues.
Ida's work career was mainly spent at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital where she began working in 1976 and worked up until a couple of years ago. Although she retired in 2010, she continued to work as a PRN at the hospital making many lifelong friends along the way.
