James Leonard Laughlin was born in East Prairie, Missouri on September 13, 1942. He passed away on February 15, 2024, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was 81 years of age.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Dorsie and Irene (Morgan) Laughlin, brother: Larry Wayne Laughlin, and one son: Wayne Laughlin

James was a loving husband, father, and minister. He ministered at the First Christian Church in Caruthersville, MO. During his 62 years as a minister, he served only five churches. He enjoyed fishing, singing, and playing trumpet. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves the following behind to cherish his memory:

Wife: Emily June Laughlin of Caruthersville, MO.

One Son: Derick Dudley of Joplin, MO.
