Jerry Michael Turpen of Braggadocio, Missouri, was born in Hayti, Missouri, on July 24, 1957. He passed away on October 29, 2025, in Caruthersville, Missouri. He was 68 years of age.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Claude and Rebecca Turpen, 2 brothers: Tommy and Ricky Turpen, sister-in-law: Darla Turpen, and 2 brothers-in-law: Dewey Crawford and Tom Mayhew.

Jerry was a loving brother, uncle, and friend. He loved going to church, listening to gospel music, and being involved with his community. He was very close with his nieces and nephews and enjoyed cooking big family dinners, especially on the holidays. He also enjoyed taking care of his pets and picking up pecans in the fall.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti, MO. with Brother Doug Wahls officiating. Burial was held in Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti, MO.
