Jimmy Lee Wilson was born May 15, 1945, in Hayti, Missouri. He passed away on April 26, 2023, at his home in Concord, Missouri surrounded by his beloved family. He was 77 years, 11 months, and 11 days of age.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Arvel "Lee" and Lula (LaRue) Wilson,

One brother, Walter Turner, and Nephew Walter Ray Turner.

Jimmy Lee married Shelby Ann Gunn at the First Baptist Church in Hayti on November 1, 1968. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Jimmy Lee enjoyed fishing, hunting, taking trips up to Wolf Bayou, and spending time with his family and friends. After graduating high school Jimmy Lee started farming and was later elected to the North Pemiscot School Board where he served for twelve years. He also worked for the Boll Weevil eradication company for five years and then retired.

He leaves the following to cherish his memory: His wife Shelby Wilson of the home, son, Richie (Carrie) Wilson of Caruthersville, daughter Juahnuna (Victor) Sample of Concord, four grandchildren, Lee Wilson, Britton (Caitlin) Wilson, Mike (Lauren) Novak, and Victoria (Davis) Hartle, seven great-grandsons, sister Joan Young of Concord, three nephews, one niece, and host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, with Brother LeRon Braswell officiating. Interment will be in Dry Bayou Cemetery. Pallbearers are Lee and Britton Wilson, Mike Novak, Davis Hartle, Gary, and Tony Hayes.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Dry Bayou Cemetery.
