United States Navy veteran, John James Luten was born in Wardell, Missouri on April 10, 1934. He passed away on September 15, 2024, at Southgate Living Center in Caruthersville, Missouri. He was 90 years of age.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Irene Luten, sisters, Darlene Luten, Jesse Pierce, and Pauline Lancaster, and brothers, Cecil Luten and Boyd Lancaster.

He leaves the following to cherish his memory:

Daughters: Cheyenne (Paris) Clanton of Scotland, TX.

Stacey Emmons of San Antonio, TX.

Son: Kevin Luten of Benton Harbor, MI.

Brothers: Sherman Luten and Johnny Pierce

Sisters: Maryland Mitchell and Silvia Jackson

5 Grandchildren: Brandi Noonan, Chuck Howard, Austin Crawell, Amanda Norr, and Brandon Jacobs.

12 Great Grandchildren: Deanna Noonan, Trent Noonan, Ardell Howard, Madeline Brown, Maleah Crawell, Caleb Holder, Milo Norr, Asher Norr, Rubby Norr, Avery Jacobs, Chanel Jacobs, and Jeffrey Jacobs

3 Great Great Grandchildren: Nevaeh Noonan, Lucas Noonan, and Joseph Martin III

Best Friend: Beth Cagle
