Josephine "Josie" Page was born on April 16, 1965, in Stubtown, MO., to the late Ira Covington and Mable Covington Nelson. She was a faithful, dedicated member of Full Gospel Evangelistic Church and was baptized at an early age.

Josie departed this earthly life on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the age of 60 years 7 months, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

She leaves the following behind to cherish her memory: 2 sons: Brandon Covington of Kansas City, MO and Bryan (Alisa) Covington of Jonesboro, AR; 2 daughters: Bridget Page and Briana Page of Hayti, MO; 2 bonus sons: Jayden Peet and Jordan Peet of Hayti, MO; 5 sisters: Alice Brown, Carolyn Covington, and Erica Allen of Hayti, MO, Feleicia Covington of Independence, MO, and Delilah (Jerry) Lintner of Fruitland, MO; 4 brothers: Henry (Necole) Covington and Ralph (Angela) Covington of Independence, MO, David (Lenora) Covington of Steele, MO, and Eddie Covington of Hayti, MO; 11 granddaughters and 9 grandsons.

Also left with loving memories are 3 godsons: Treavis Johnson, Isaiah Love, and Jerome Covington; 3 goddaughters: Ammy Peel, Laina Jones, and Arielle Burgess; a bonus sister and friend, Trinita (Marvin) Williams; her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Faith Temple Complex in Hayti with Elder David Covington officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Hayti, MO. Pallbearers were Treavis Johnson, Elic Peel, Jamareun Thompson, Bryan Covington, Jr., Isaiah Love, Darnell Clay, Jr., Caleb Jones, Joseph Page, Dontravious Covington, and Elijah Covington. Honorary Pallbearers were Brandon, Henry, Eddie, Bryan, David, and Ralph Covington, and Jayden and Jordan Peet.
