Loving and unselfish in all her ways. Understanding and trusting in her last days. Sincere and kind in heart and mind, what beautiful memories she leaves behind. The Lord called home to rest sister Linda Calvin on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Missouri Delta Medical Center, Sikeston, MO.

Linda was born on June 07, 1962, in Hayti, MO to the late LeeAnna Pride and Walley Calvin, Jr. She spent her childhood years in Hayti, where she was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church. While in school she did the shot put in track and field. Later in life, Linda's health struggles required that she be moved into a healthcare facility. Linda never met a stranger everyone was her friend. A big smile was always on her face. Her favorite things to do were going to church on Sunday morning, taking long walks through the neighborhood, playing jacks, jumping rope, hopscotch, kickball, coloring books, a notebook to write her name, and going to the store to get her brown bag full of snacks. If you wanted any she would charge a nickel. She loved getting her hair braided. Everyone who visited her had to give $2.00 for the snack machine. She could cook very good eggs and a big juicy hamburger.

She was preceded in death by her Mother: LeeAnna Pride, Father: Walley Calvin, Jr. Sisters: Dorothy Wright, and Carrie Wright.

Extended family Mrs. Paula Scobey, and Daybreak Nursing Center, Sikeston, MO.

Funeral Services were held Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Faith Temple Complex in Hayti, MO. with Solomon Wright officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Hayti, MO. Pallbearers were Stacey Wright, Aelix M. Wright, Ladre Wright, Brian Pride, Tristan Taylor, and Bobby Calvin, II. Honorary pallbearers were Walley Calvin, Louis Wright, III, Dale Wright, and Brandon Pride.
