Margie Russell, age 96, of Marble Hill, Missouri, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, at StoneBridge Senior Living in Marble Hill. She was born on May 8, 1930, in Pascola, Missouri, to the late Monroe and Ovelia Braswell.

Margie was united in marriage to George Russell, and together they shared 44 wonderful years. Although she had no children of her own, she was a beloved and devoted aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She faithfully served in many roles within the churches she and George attended and preached in several revivals over the years. Margie and George also shared a deep love for gospel music, often singing together while George played the guitar. Their music and ministry touched the lives of many and remain treasured memories for her family and friends.

She is survived by her brother, John Braswell, and his wife, Elaine of Kersey, Colorado; her sister, Carlotta Camp of Hayti, Missouri; and many loving nieces and nephews.
