Mariclare "Sissy" Nelson was born in Hayti, Missouri on May 9, 1933. She passed away on March 18, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was 91 years of age.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Essie Reno Adcock, husband: Norman Nelson, brother: Jack Adcock, one son: Lee Nelson, and grandson: Dirk Hayes

Mariclare was affectionately known by those who knew her as "Sissy". She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for her family, watching Cardinals baseball, and attending ball games with her beloved late husband Norman. She also loved spending time with her family.

She leaves the following behind to cherish her memory:

Services were held Friday, March 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti, MO. with Brother Griff Walker officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti, MO. Pallbearers were Nick Cartee, Mark Lunbeck, Charles White, Tony Hayes, Gary Redden, and Doug Khourie. Honorary Pallbearer was Tommy Potts.
