Mary Katherine "Kathy" (Griffith) Hearn, 83, of Caruthersville, MO, passed away on January 24, 2026, in Sterling, IL. She was born on August 10, 1942, in Hickman, KY, the daughter of the late Clinton and Lena Griffith.

Kathy dedicated her life to raising her three boys, Johnny, Gary "Bubba", and Dale, and was happiest when surrounded by family. She loved tending her flowers, dancing, music, and writing poems. Kathy was known for her kind, generous spirit and beautiful smile.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Gary "Bubba" Hearn, sisters Wonetta and Chattie, and brothers LC and Jack.

Her memory will be kept alive by two sons, Johnny Hearn and Dale Hearn, 6 Grandchildren, Lecia Humes, Frankie (Bonnie) Humes, Chrystal Hearn, James (Candice) Hearn, Nick (Haley) Hearn, Nathan Hearn, and Alyssa Hearn, 15 great-grandchildren, and many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti.  The visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgley, TN.
