Michael (Skillet) Gilmore was born on November 12, 1966, in Coushatta, Louisiana. He passed away peacefully at his home in Hayti, MO, on July 12, 2025. He was 58 years old.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Mary Frances (Prince) Gilmore; Two brothers, Kerry Lynn Prince and David Lee Gilmore; and one sister, Krystal Dwana Hurley.

Michael was a truck driver. He loved to keep a clean truck. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves behind the following to cherish his memory:

Wife: Cynthia Gilmore of Thibodeaux, LA.

2 Stepdaughters: Tiffany Rickman of Kennett, MO.

Elizabeth Rickman of Greenfield, TN.

1 Brother: Jerry "Denny" (Missy) Cooper of Hayti, MO.

1 Sister-in- law: Rachel Gilmore of Kennett, MO.

And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Graveside Memorial services were held Monday, July 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti, Missouri. Inurnment was also in Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.
