Gerald Michael Alsup was born on January 14, 1950, in Kennett, Missouri. He passed away on April 18, 2024, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Missouri. He was 74 years of age.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Johnnie and Geraldine Alsup and brother: Paul Wayne Alsup

Michael was a talented artist. Painting was his passion. He also enjoyed playing piano and writing. He was a member of the Conran Memorial Library Board from 1990 to 2000, the Poplar Bluff Artists Guild from 1990 to present, and the Missouri Arts Council in Cape Girardeau, Missouri from 2004 to present.

He leaves the following behind to cherish his memory:

Daughter: Aunna (Dusty) Stone of Sikeston, MO.

2 Grandchildren: Heaven and Max Stone of Sikeston, MO.

2 Sisters: Peggy Finley of St. Louis, MO.

Pam (Richard) Berry of Memphis, TN.

One Brother: John Mark (Robin) Alsup of Franklinton, NC.

And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Services were held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Hayti, with Brother Mark Hoover officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.
