Omzy Lee Barnett was born in Caruthersville, Missouri on September 10, 1957. He passed away on August 22, 2024, at his home in Caruthersville, Missouri. He was 66 years of age.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Lesley and Marie Coble Barnett, one brother: William Barnett, and one grandchild.

Omzy loved working on cars and racing. He enjoyed watching drama, action, and adventure movies, and joyriding in his truck or car. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves the following behind to cherish his memory:

Son: Johnathan Barnett of Caruthersville, MO.

Niece, he considered a daughter: Felicia (Joseph) Skaggs of Paragould, Ar.

6 Siblings: Hattie Barnett, James Barnett, Brenda (Brian) Larson, Jerry Barnett, Charles Barnett, and Danny Barnett all of Caruthersville, MO.

3 Great-nephews he considered grandsons: Ashton Christian, and Keagan Skaggs

Great niece, he considered as his granddaughter: Gabriella Skaggs

And a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Jesus Name Tabernacle in Caruthersville, MO. with Pastor Richard Lee officiating. Burial was in Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville, MO.
