Opal Marie Hedger was born on March 16, 1960, in Hayti, Missouri. She passed away at her home in Hayti on December 15, 2025. She was 65 years of age.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Garold Jr. and Mary Margaret Thomas, one brother: Jackie Dewayne Crouch, and husband: David McKinley Hedger.

Marie enjoyed reading, going to the library, playing with her dog Critter, and spending time with her kids and grandkids.

She leaves the following behind to cherish her memory:

Daughters: Sherry Thomas and Lena Pascacio

6 Grandchildren: Austin, Lexus, and Emily Phelps, Silva, Alejandra, and Deciderio Pascacio Jr.

6 Great Grandchildren: Marilynn, Ryder, Ryver, Brooklynn, Austin Alan Jr., and Oaklynn.

5 Siblings: David Thomas, Sherry Jordan (Thomas), William Thomas, Christina (Thomas) Shuebert, and Benjerman Thomas

And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Memorial Services were held on December 19, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel.
