Ophelia Abbott, 75, passed unexpectedly on October 31 ^st , 2022, at Tennova Hospital. She was born May 16 ^th , 1947, in Hayti, Mo., the daughter of Cliff and Annie Mae Walker.

Ophelia attended school in Hayti, Mo. In 1962 she met her husband Wheeler Abbott Sr.

During their union they had three children. Ophelia devoted all her free time raising her children. She was best known for her passion for cooking. Despite her being sick in her last days she kept her joy. Nothing made her happier than seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wheeler Abbott Sr., her sister Ossie Love and brother RD Reed. She leaves to cherish her memory; her children: Wheeler Abbott Jr.(Denise), Rita Taylor, and John Abbott; 6 grandchildren, Candi Abbott, Earnest Abbott, Denise Thomas-Thompson (Travis), Katherine Abbott, Aaliyah Abbott, Christena Kracke, 7 great grandchildren : Na'Kiyah Abbott, Jarve' Mitchell-Bryant Jr, Quintin Abbott, Travis Thompson Jr., Taliyah Thompson, Ayden Smith and Ariyanna Abbott; 1 sister Martha Pickett, 3 sisters-in-laws, 1 borther-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
