William Gregory Phillips was born in Kennett, Missouri on October 24, 1956. He passed away on October 21, 2024, in Gideon, Missouri. He was 67 years of age.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Buddy and Edith (Palmer) Phillips, and son: William Brandon Phillips.

Greg was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a member of the Glass Memorial Baptist Church. He was a World War II historian. He enjoyed collecting knives, guns, and coins. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. Greg also enjoyed farming and animals. He also loved spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves the following behind to cherish his memory:

Wife of 45 years: Synthia Phillips of Wardell, MO.

Daughter: Brandi (Lynn) Odom of Wardell, MO.

3 Siblings: Brett Phillips, Tammy Hinkle, and Tina Babb

And a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, October 25, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti, MO. with Brother Griff Walker and Pastor Don Tims officiating. Burial was in Wardell Cemetery in Wardell, MO. Pallbearers were Wendy Phillips, Bobbie Williams, Cody Hinkle, Michaela Ward, Heath Babb, and Christen Hinkle. Honorary Pallbearers were Colton Wiseman, Bryson Miller, and Caleb Phillips.
