William
Waldrop
Jan 2, 1936 — Dec 22, 2022
William Bryan Waldrop, 86, of Holland, Missouri passed away peacefully on Thursday December 22, 2022, at NEA Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born in Cooter, Missouri on Thursday January 2, 1936, the son of the late Clell & Oleata (Pruitt) Waldrop.
William was a lifelong resident of Holland Missouri, and a member of the Holland Baptist Church. He was loved by so many people of all different ages and backgrounds. He loved conversations, especially those about cows, farming, hunting, fishing, bee keeping, baling hay, and telling the tales of his childhood all the way through to his adult life. The tales included the detailed antics of the colorful characters (including all the nicknames) of the area residents and his brother Larry aka Gabby.
William married Norma Jo Jackson in Hernando, Mississippi on September 14, 1957. They built a home west of Holland and raised two children: Bryan and Fonda Waldrop. William loved to trail ride with his wife and friends. Norma and William worked on the farm together raising their two children. Traveling and camping together with family and friends, making many trips to Buffalo Creek and Alley Springs for hunting, camping, and swimming. Then came two grandchildren; Justin and Tracey Waldrop, and three great granddaughters Emery, Evelyn, and Ella Fay Easton that he cherished. William got so much joy out of watching, playing, and singing with the girls. His warm kind spirit was inviting to all with love and a smile was always somewhere in the conversation. He loved a good cold Dr. Pepper and always had one to share.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clell & Oleata, and one brother Larry (Gabby) Waldrop.
William will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Norma of the home.
